Why OakTree College?

1. Students will have access to targeted, responsive and supported education and training through curriculum resources that are tailored to a student’s needs, ability, knowledge, and experiences.

2. We will have specialist teachers and support staff recruited from the community and represent the diversity of our student

3. We will provide on-site specialist support services: These include psychologists, social workers, Youth Welfare Workers who will work together with teachers to support and monitor the health, social, cultural and emotional wellbeing of students and provide support to their families.

4. Each student will be linked with successful mentors from the community, employment industries and education

5. Each student will have a Career Action Plan and be exposed to the multiplicity of further education and career pathways that are available to them to ensure they are equipped to make informed decisions about their future.

6. We will get parents involved in their child’s further studies or career choices.

7. We are serious about promoting an organisational culture that is inclusive and respectful of the diversity within the staff, students and the wider community and creating an environment where all students feel valued and have equal access to learning.

8. We intend to build and maintain strong and respectful partnerships with community organisations and relevant networks.
